Heck's straightforward way of explaining the negative repercussions of her opponent’s voting record, specifically Act 46 (passed in 2016), is food for thought. The Supermajority and Rich Westman (R/D) voted YES to repeal ACT 46 that removed the spending caps on public schools’ budgets and penalties for overruns, which has brought about today’s historic property tax increase. Act 46 has failed to produce timely Mandated Annual Progress Reports, as the 2020 Report was just issued. At this point, we do not know what is working and what isn’t, therefore an independent consulting company should be brought in to do an evaluation of ACT 46. The Commission is directed to produce short-term cost containment recommendations in 2024 and final in 2025 but cannot without having the factual data. One of the purposes of Act 46 was to support local decisions…at a cost that Parents, Voters, and Taxpayers value. The value of Act 46 remains a mystery. My extensive corporate experience with profit and loss responsibilities and expertise will offer different approaches to reformulate with reduced budgets, as well as holding these agencies accountable for their legal mandated commitments to the public. Lamoille County Voters simply want a return to common sense legislation that doesn’t cause them catastrophic financial hardships to the point of forcing them out of the state. This Supermajority has done just that! Now is the time for change in the State House that will bring Fiscal Responsibility, Vermont first not cost prohibitive globalist agendas, uphold the Constitution and Bill of Rights, uphold Parental Rights, bring back Local School Boards, support our Police, State Troopers, Sheriffs, EMTs and Firefighters. Let us Revive a Sturdy Vermont with Loyalty to Country and Principle!
Heck’s understanding of economics, coupled with her experience managing corporate profit and loss responsibilities, offers voters a candidate with fresh new ideas. She knows how to work through resistance and can offer different approaches to delivering on greatly reduced budgets. Repeal the Global Warming Solutions Act, that was passed with provision enabling Vermonters to sue the state should it fail to attain the goals by 2025. I will be Voting No on the Clean Heat Standards Act “carbon credit” tax doubling fuel costs $8.00 per gallon or $2000.00 to fill up a 250-gallon tank. I support the Governer in Repealing Property Tax Bill and hold the Vermont Agency of Education accountable for delivering the past three years of mandated ACT 46 Progress Reports and Cost Containment recommendations by 2025 through an independent consultant that will be objective as to what is working and what is not. Crime, Catch and Release Problem – Crime is on the rise in Vermont and Lamoille County, I fully endorse Martin Green's "Proposed catch and release solutions" printed in the Vermont Daily Chronicle on Sept. 2, 2024. Martin's due diligence, interviews with Judges and Law Enforcement, and reports from our County Court Cases provides insight to the facts and issues that are at hand. I believe that the solutions that Green has proposed will make the corrective actions necessary to provide the law and order that our community is demanding. Flood Mitigation - I will propose a Bill to Stop Geo-Engineering Weather Modification over Vermont, joining New Hampshire and Tennessee making it illegal as it is not regulated across the US. Over 2000 pages of FOIA documents recently obtained by the “High Wire” confirm that the US Government Spraying Operations are using toxic chemicals without our consent to cloudseed our skies which we are breathing, absorbing and digesting. These Weather Modification Programs conducted either by Corporations or the US Government need regulation and transparency as Vermonters are suffered from extreme flood damages without any accountability from those conducting these Spraying Operations. It's time for Vermont to act and stop the manipulation of cloudseeding over our state. Equity Theft - I will be proposing a Bill to safeguard Vermonters that cannot meet these financial burdens by the Supermajority by making "Equity Theft" illegal which will stop municipalities from keeping any equity profits after selling a foreclosure for unpaid taxes. Once the tax lien has been paid any remaining equity must be returned to the former home or landowner(s). Housing – Losen Act 250 constraints and zoning for development projects that provide affordable housing to low- and moderate-income households. These are some of the actions I would take if elected the State Senate.
Heck concurs with the Governor that the Supermajority’s policies do not represent the overall views and pocketbooks of hardworking Vermonters. The time is now to Vote out these representatives that have financially harmed hardworking Vermonters and their families who are struggling with overall inflation. If elected, I will not vote to increase any taxes, work to change course from the proposed Bill on climate carbon tax, and I will always have an open door with Lamoille County Constituents. I would be most appreciative for the opportunity to serve with your Vote on November 5th.
